Sangamo Programmable Immersion Time Switch with Boost Control

This Sangamo programmable time switch is particularly suitable for people who use their electric immersion to heat water on a daily basis.  This time switch can be programmed to give daily hot water when required. In addition, if hot water is needed at times outside the programmed hours, it has a “boost” button, which you simply press either ½ hour, 1 hour or 2 hours of water heating. The Sangamo Powersaver Weekly will ensure that hot water is available to meet your needs and it will save electricity by automatically switching off the immersion when the user might forget.

USER INSTRUCTIONS - PROGRAMMING

Daily, Weekly, 24/7
After the unit has been installed and powered up, a full
display will be indicated. As shown below, this initial
display will fl ash continuously until the Time Setting Mode
has been entered.
 
1. Press the Set button once and the display shown below
will be indicated.

During time and program mode, parts of the display that
flash indicate what can be altered.

 
2. Use the Hour and Minute buttons to select the correct
time. Remember to ensure that the am/pm indicator is
correct.

 
3. Use the Day button to select the correct day of the
week on the Weekly & 24/7 programmers.
 
4. Once the correct time has been entered, the display
shown below will be selected.
 
5. Press the Set button once.
 


Program Setting Mode:
As soon as the correct time has been selected and the Set
button pressed, the unit automatically proposes that the
program switching time be set and the display shown
below will be indicated.

WARNING – ISOLATE MAINS BEFORE INSTALLATION & SERVICING

THE INSTALLATION SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT BY A SUITABLY QUALIFIED PERSON, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE I.E.E. WIRING REGULATIONS.

WARNING : All Powersaver products must be earthed, using the earth terminals at the rear of the switch. The following cabling is recommend
L & N  - 1.5mm² - 4.0mm² fixed
            - 1.5mm² - 2.5mm² flexible (retro fit applications only in conjunction with 143609 surface box)

L & N - 1.5mm² - 2.5mm² fixed or flexible

Provision must be made in the fixed wiring for a means of disconnection from the supply having a contact separation of at least 3mm on all poles. This can be provided by the consumer unit.

The Powersaver Product Range are independently mounted time switches, of electronic construction, which can be surface or flush mounted. For flush fitting, a metal box of at least 32mm internal depth should be fitted with the earth terminal at the bottom.

For surface mounting, use a patress box with a minimum internal depth of 32mm.

Please note that when surface mounting on to a single patress box in place of an existing SPST light switch, the neutral wire may need to be fed from another neutral point.

Do not remove the Powersaver from its packaging until the patress/wall box is fi tted and cleared of dust & debris. The Powersaver Range is suitable for use in a normal pollution situation.

The cable clamp at the rear of the unit is for outgoing cables to the appliance only.
