So anything that replaces candles, but still gives the appearance of them, is a welcome respite for my nerves.
The Solar Centre's Solar Tea Light Lantern is the perfect answer. Prettily designed but still functional, this solar powered lantern gives your room a little glow without the associated risks of traditional candles.
It’s perfect as an indoor decoration, even as a convenient night light, or for outdoor tables. During the day, the lantern draws power from the sun, and as soon as darkness falls, the light will automatically turn itself on. If at any time the built in sensor detects a powerful light source - the sun, or an electric light, for example - it will turn off the LED light, and conserve the power for when it's needed.
The best thing is that the tea light is easy to set up. There's a power button under the solar panel in the top of the lantern. Finding it was the most complicated part of the set-up, and that only took me a matter of seconds to figure out (hint: turn it upside down). Swit
